There are two main types of LMD plum blossom elastic couplings, one is the traditional straight claw type, and the other is the curved (inward) claw type zero-clearance coupling.The traditional straight-jaw plum blossom coupling is not suitable for use in high-precision servo transmission applications.The zero-backlash claw type plum blossom coupling is evolved on the basis of the straight claw type, but the difference is that its design can be suitable for the application of the servo system, and is often used to connect servo motors, stepping motors and ball screws.The curved surface is to reduce the deformation of the elastic plum spacer and limit the influence of centripetal force on it during high-speed operation.

LMD plum blossom-shaped elastic coupling is widely used in coal mine equipment, and the adjustment of the end face clearance of its assembly directly affects the effect of the motor's transmission torque.Proper end face clearance can prevent the elastic cushion from losing its cushioning effect and causing the motor or reducer to overheat.The relevant standards stipulate that the end face clearance of the coupling assembly is 2~4mm.

Since the supply of spare parts for repairs is not produced by the same manufacturer, the size of the coupling is slightly different. If the end face clearance of the coupling assembly is not accurately measured before assembly to determine the assembly position, it will likely lead to rework, and in the case of high torque transmission The coupling and the shaft have an interference fit, which makes it difficult to rework.Here, taking the plum-shaped elastomer coupling used in the double-chain scraper transfer machine in SZZ800/250 as an example, the method of adjusting the end face gap of the plum-shaped elastomer coupling is briefly explained.
